City, nature, leisure and cultural layers are being weaved together into SID and form a Convergent Planes with ecological, community, and social resiliency. Floodplain that was formed solely for flood control purposes will be reformed into complex Convergent Planes that connect city, nature, and people. A ripple from the development of Yeongdong Boulevard, Hyundai GBC, and Jamsil MICE district will be transformed into a new urban space as a public good, embracing the existing neighborhood and economic communities and recovering natural state of Tancheon and Han River and will be reborn as a new model of city/leisure/ecological public space that is resilient to unpredictable changes.
