Cultural Plateau Carved by History

Chungju National Museum becomes a new cultural ground and naturally connects and harmonizes with the Han River, the park, and the city. The museum becomes an open framework for recognizing landscapes, allowing people from cities and parks to meet and realize the Han River and the Jungwon history and culture. People watch exhibitions and experience history in various ways along with the nature surrounding it in the museum and the open scenery toward open space. In addition, visitors will have an opportunity to look at the Han River, which is the basis of the long history of Jungwon culture, from various levels, and reconsider its meaning.

Along with the newly unfolding cultural landscape of the museum, the familiar Riverside of Han river becomes a place to experience a unique culture. The museum's cultural programs actively combine with external spaces and reveal a variety of cultural landscapes to the park. The rooftop park, which continued the flow of the park, allows people to experience the interior and exterior spaces of the architecture, and the overlapping scenery of the Namhangang River, parks, and cities surrounding it. The framework of this experience extends to the park. The changing park along with museums and surrounding facilities establishes itself as a spatial foundation for Chungju's historical culture.
